Respiration is considered the most important function of the body, as all other functions and systems of the body depend upon it. Yet, breathing is the most undervalued and misapprehended tool we use for health and freedom from disease.
Pranayamais a Sanskrit word meaning "to control the breath,” also known as "The Breath of Life”. Ancient practitioners of yoga learned they could immediately manipulate the energy systems of the body and enter the layers of the mind during and after pranayama was practiced.
Not only is yoga breathing a powerful tool for various health conditions, but it’s also the most effective tool for alleviating the stress response. Throughout this webinar, Ed Harrold will invite viewers to learn how to reduce their stress responses with the goal of increasing energy, supporting digestion, and enjoying metabolic and hormonal balance. The webinar will focus on practical, everyday applications for people everywhere on the wellness journey, helping viewers explore and access mindful breathing tools to incite transformational change.
This webinar is for anyone and everyone who has the desire to learn the science of breath and how deeply it affects all facets of life---every choice, every response, every action on every level of being. Ed will help participants discover the thread that ties mind, body, and spirit as one: the simple power of the breath.
Following this presentation, participants will be able to:
- describe how the breath and the movement of prana affects the various systems of the body.
- identify tools satiating the "monkey mind” in the overall health and well-being in a culture steeped in stress and disease.
- explain how, where, and when to apply these skills.
