Webinar Description
Persistent high stress has been shown to be related to negative outcomes including personal and professional burnout, absenteeism, lower productivity, lower job satisfaction, and turnover. Addressing stress and emotional exhaustion addresses the root cause of many common health behavior risk factors such as poor nutritional habits, physical inactivity, high blood pressure, tobacco use, and overweight/obesity.

The research and application of Mindfulness in health and well-being to address chronic stress and resilience building has increased exponentially in recent years. Mindfulness is now being recognized as a critically important component of wellness, in education, law, business, and nearly every sector of society.

Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) is an evidence-based 8-week program developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in 1979. It uses a combination of mindfulness meditation, body awareness, and movement to help people become more mindful and focused on the present moment.

Learn about MBSR and other Mindfulness-based Interventions (MBIs) as ways to implement corporate and community wellness programs. Empower others to awaken to their lives, and live with a greater sense of presence and compassion.
