Introduction to Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)
Presenter: Valerie Lis, MA, EFT-Expert & Trainer
Original Air Date: January 30, 2014
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is a self-empowering tool that supports positive change for emotional and physical challenges. EFT uses elements of Cognitive Therapy and Exposure Therapy, and combines them with Acupressure, in the form of fingertip tapping on 12 acupuncture points. Studies show that it is effective on PTSD, phobia, anxiety, depression, weight control, cravings, chronic pain, and athletic performance. An article in the APA peer-reviewed journal Review of General Psychology reaches the conclusion that EFT Tapping "meets initial criteria for Evidence-Based Practice.” In this webinar, you will gain an understanding of uses for EFT and practice the Basic Formula. You will then go through steps to resolve a personal issue. You'll also receive tips on how to make this self-tool more effective.
