About Roger Jahnke

Roger Jahnke

Roger Jahnke, OMD, has been passionately engaged in the facets of health care for over 30 years. As a consultant to hospitals and corporations, he has assisted in the creation of wellness and complementary medicine programs. His chapters on complementary and integrative medicine appear in the acclaimed Integrating Complementary Medicine in Health Systems and Integrative Clinical Practice. With 25 years of clinical practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr Jahnke was the chief of staff of one of the first holistic, complementary medicine clinics in America. Inspired by the Qigong and Tai Chi, the wellness practices of Chinese medicine, Dr. Jahnke wrote The Healer Within and The Healing Promise of Qi to gain a broader audience for these beneficial practices. As Executive Director of the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi, Dr. Jahnke and staff train Integral Qigong and Tai Chi teachers as well as do outcomes research to accelerate the contemporary influence and relevance of Asian health promotion. His BA is in Asian Literature from the University of Cincinnati, his MS is in Chinese Medicine from Tai Usuan Academy and his OMD is in Chinese Medicine from California Acupuncture College.
