The National Wellness Conference offers affordable and diverse continuing education options. A complete list of continuing education providers with approved status for the 2010 NWC is listed below. Continuing education credits may be purchased when you register for the Conference.
AAFP: American Academy of Family Physicians. This activity, 35th Annual National Wellness Conference, with a beginning date of July 17, 2010, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 47.00 Elective credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians.
ADA/CDR: American Dietetic Association Commission on Dietetic Registration. NWI is a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Accredited Provider with the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR).
ACSM: The American College of Sports Medicine’s Professional Education Committee certifies that National Wellness Institute meets the criteria for official ACSM Approved Provider status from (2009-2012). Providership #661228.
ANA/WNA: American Nurses Association/Wisconsin Nurses Association. This continuing education activity was apprvoed by the Wisconsin Nurses Association Continuing Education Approval Program Committee, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
BOC (NATA): Board of Certification for National Athletic Trainers Association
NASW: This program is approved by the National Association of Social Workers (approval #886357519) for 46.5 continuing education contact hours.
NCHEC/CHES: National Wellness Institute is designated a provider of Category I continuing education contact hours (CECH) in health education by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc.
NBCC: National Board for Certified Counselors. NWI is recognized by NBCC to offer continuing education for National Certified Counselors. NWI adheres to NBCC continuing education guidelines.
NSCA: National Strength and Conditioning Association offers 0.8 CEU(s) for CSCS and NSCA-CPT certified individuals attending the "Functional Fitness" Certificate Program, July 18, 2010.
NWI CWP: National Wellness Institute Certified Wellness Practitioner. Continuing education credits for this program have been approved by NWI.
UWSP CEUs: University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Continuing Education available for each approved education program.

The National Wellness Conference offers the following opportunities for earning college credits by participating in approved programs.
UWSP Academic CreditUniversity of Wisconsin-Stevens Point: one to three undergraduate or graduate university credits approved. Conference registration fees and university tuition required. University credit is also available for all certificate programs. For detailed information, click here.
Graduate Credits for Pre-Conference Certificate Program: Untangling the Web of Disordered Eating, Obesity, and Eating Disorders: A Wellness Approach for Professionals
Conference participants attending this Certificate program can register for one to three graduate credits at a reduced rate from Plymouth State University’s College of Graduate Studies. Through a combination of 20 hours of face-to-face contact during the conference and 18 hours of online work following the National Wellness Conference, participants will meet the educational requirements for the first course in PSU’s Eating Disorders Institute (Course number: CO/HL 5160 Eating Disorders: Awareness, Prevention, and Education). Note: Saturday evening from 7 p.m - 9 p.m. participants will view a film on body image. This is required for those individuals taking the cert program for graduate credit. It is optional for all others.
