Earn Your Worksite Wellness Certificate

We offer two training options:

Onsite programs are facilitated over two days (per level) at various locations throughout the year, including in conjunction with NWI’s annual National Wellness Conference. These trainings provide optimal opportunities to learn not only from our highly experienced instructors, but also through engagement with your peers.

Online programs are scheduled throughout the year as six-week trainings (includes an online exam). Offering the same high-quality content as the face-to-face trainings, these programs allow participants the flexibility of computer-based training with the opportunity to connect virtually with other participants.

The National Wellness Institute Wellness in Clinical Practice (WCP) Professional Certificate Program provides the tools for participants to integrate the principles of evidence-based health behavior, wellness, coaching, health promotion, and disease prevention into their clinical practice. The program consists of 40 hours of self-paced online training.

Participants will have 120 days from the date their registration confirmation e-mail is sent to complete the course. For the best learning experience, it is recommended that the course is completed within 60 days. Individuals who successfully complete the training within 120 days receive a Certificate in Wellness in Clinical Practice.

Who should take this program?

The program content assumes participants already have a certain level of clinical knowledge; therefore it is recommended for professionals working directly with patients/clients in a clinical setting.

Train the Trainer: Resilience Certificate

An increasing number of wellness practitioners are being asked to deliver training or coaching in the areas of resilience and thriving. To meet this need, the National Wellness Institute (NWI), in collaboration with Organizational Wellness Learning Systems (OWLS), is offering a new 5-credit course with evidence-informed tools and competency-based training. Participants will learn a new system that integrates NWI's 6 Dimensions of Wellness model with the concepts of stress, resilience, and thriving. Participants will receive a slide deck, facilitator notes, handouts, a book, and other tools they can provide in their own workshops, training, and coaching activities.

To date, over 50 professionals have been trained in the core components of the Resilience & Thriving model. The model has universal application, as thousands of individuals have been reached across diverse industries. This includes the military, small businesses, Native American populations, higher education, healthcare, and corporations. This new course also aligns with the NWI Wellness Promotion Competency Model.
