Facilitator Certificate: Resilience & Thriving
Share |

Earn Your Certificate as a Resilience & Thriving Facilitator and be able to offer the "Resilience & Thriving: The Secret Power of Stress" training to others.

An increasing number of wellness practitioners are being asked to deliver training or coaching in the areas of resilience and thriving. To meet this need, the National Wellness Institute (NWI), in collaboration with Organizational Wellness Learning Systems (OWLS), is offering a new course with evidence-informed tools and competency-based training. Participants will learn a new system that integrates NWI's 6 Dimensions of Wellness model with the concepts of stress, resilience, and thriving. The slide deck, facilitator notes, handouts, book, and other tools provided in the training can be used in their own workshops, training, and coaching activities.

Resilience is the process of bouncing back from adversity and continually learning and growing.

The Resilience & Thriving model has universal application, as thousands of individuals have been reached across diverse industries. This includes the military, small businesses, Native American populations, higher education, healthcare, and corporations. This new course also aligns with the NWI Wellness Promotion Competency Model.

Resilience is about preparing for and learning from adversity. Most of life’s problems are not sudden and overt. They are small daily irritations, or triggers, that over time cause strain and exhaustion. Most adverse incidents that occur are proceeded by these triggers.

Health Consciousness enables us to be proactively empowered to recognize the triggers before they accumulate. Health consciousness helps us to be alert to our tolerance for the problems that arise in life, as well as when we “relapse” into unhealthy behaviors that may cause adversity, or in response to adverse circumstances. Having health consciousness skills enables us to create an environment that fosters resilience, making it far more likely that we’ll be resilient when difficulties arise.

The information that follows details the program for "Resilience and Thriving: The Secret Power of Stress". We recommend that those who complete this training also go through our "Empowered Health Consciousness" training, as training for both areas reinforces the skills we can acquire for each, which supports ongoing learning, consciousness and a culture of learning and growing together.

To earn a Certificate as a Resilience & Thriving Facilitator, and be able to offer the “Resilience & Thriving: The Secret Power of Stress” training to others, participants must successfully complete all elements of the train the trainer certificate course and pass an online exam.

Individuals who earn a Train the Trainer Certificate through NWI will be able to use the tools, resources, and techniques provided in the certificate course to train students, employees, and clients in various settings in the topic presented.
